We had planned to shoot this session at a quaint downtown park in Marion, Iowa, but the cold temperatures soon sent us indoors to the local library. We were able to dodge outside for some quick family photos to take advantage of the town’s historical sites, including trains, an old depot, and picturesque churches. This was a quick session, and the kids had a blast exploring new places.
This is one of my new favorite photos! Kids are people, too, and sometimes they just have those moments when they’ve had it with life. This little guy had been so good for the entire session, but getting put on the horse was the last straw. He was done! This image perfectly captures his emotions at that exact moment. Little Mr. J, thanks for such a fun session!
Today I had the opportunity to photograph sisters — a first for me! These two are almost exactly two years apart and were so much fun! They were willing to try anything and the camera loved them. Their mom and dad are high school sweethearts, and like their daughters, were game for all my different poses and ideas.
Thanks so much, Nate and Katie! Enjoy your sneak peek …
Three boys + fields and woods + lots of energy = this fun family session. We explored, skipped, dragged, climbed and drove our way around a local Christian camp, carving out spaces for family portraits.
Enjoy your sneak peek, Kari and Tracy!
(At least for me). I’m so enjoying my new camera! Here are a few images from a recent “test session” in my backyard, probably one of the last I’ll be able to do before it gets too cold to bring babies outside!
