This session is a surprise for dad for Father’s Day. (Don’t worry, he doesn’t know who I am or read this blog)! I love children’s sessions because I really just get to follow little people around, play with them, ask them questions, and just capture what they’re doing. Sometimes they play with rocks, often they run and jump, others climb trees, and a few are natural “hams” for the camera. The everyday moments are ones that we remember years later, but don’t often capture on film (or digital media).
This delightful duo spotted wild birds, blew dandelion fuzz in the air, played in a brook and climbed into the trees.
This was one hoppin’ session! And it wasn’t just the kids hopping and jumping! Mom and dad were great at keeping the kids interest on me and the camera, doing whatever they needed to keep the kids’ happy and cooperative. I have a soft spot for families with two young boys (I know firsthand what that’s like!). We started out with some family photos …
then this happened.
He stood still for about three seconds, and I got this:
Then it was on to little brother S, who just turned one!
This is the first time I’ve sent a client their gallery link for proofing before I posted a sneak preview on the blog. I’ve been busy with a lot of non-photography stuff, but my clients have been flexible and understanding!
