Sisters. Something I don’t know much about, having only one brother and two sons myself. But the interaction between these two reminded me of my own boys. Some days siblings are best friends, other days they need their space. We weren’t able to get many images of the sisters together, but the girls shone for their own individual portraits. The light was delicious that evening!
And the third image? Mom and dad went along with me for one last shot, at my request.

Motherhood. Pregnancy. Birth. Anyone who knows me or who regularly reads this blog knows I’m a doula, and that I am fascinated and humbled by the miracle of birth and life.
This mama was gracious enough to trust me (a newbie to maternity photography) with her portraits. A beautiful setting, a beautiful mother and a beautiful belly. This didn’t even feel like work …

How lucky am I? Another gorgeous senior that makes capturing great images so easy!
‘A’ came to her session with great suggestions for settings and poses, so we were able to mix up our ideas to get lots of variety. She was a natural in front of the camera: spunky, sassy and sweet.

Amber was perfect for my first senior session. A friend’s daughter and one of my babysitters, we were comfortable enough with each other to get right to work capturing some great images. (And having a beautiful model sure helps!) Although she thought she wanted a short, simple session, we were able to hit several different locations before we decided we were done for the evening. I’m looking forward to doing more senior portraits — this was a refreshing change from my usual style!
Enjoy your sneak peek, Amber …

Jackie – these are really pretty – I especially LOVE the 2nd one and how you processed it !!!
Jackie these are amazing. That first one needs to be printed HUGE and hung on the nursery wall. I adore it. Fabulous job! What a gorgeous mommy to be!
